Dieser Tempel ist ber\u00fchmt f\u00fcr seinen alten H\u00f6hlentempel aus dem 2. Jahrhundert v. Chr., der mehrere Statuen und Fresken beherbergt, die das Leben von Lord Buddha darstellen.\nZu den weiteren Tempeln in der Gegend geh\u00f6rt der Dhowa-Felstempel, der eine 12 Meter hohe, in eine Felswand gehauene Buddha-Statue zeigt.\nDie arch\u00e4ologische St\u00e4tte von Buduruwagala ist ber\u00fchmt f\u00fcr ihre sch\u00f6nen, 1000 Jahre alten in den Fels gehauenen\nBuddha-Figuren. In Buduruwagala befindet sich die gr\u00f6\u00dfte in Fels gehauene, stehende\nBuddha-Statue in S\u00fcdasien. Die 15 Meter hohe Buddha-Statue ist umgeben von\numgeben von kleineren, in den Fels gehauenen Statuen\n   \nInsgesamt bieten die Tempel in der Umgebung von Ella eine einzigartige Gelegenheit, Sri
