We have a very holistic approach to wellbeing at “Touch of Paradise”. This means we are not only nourishing the body with healthy food, but we are also taking care of mind and soul. One great way to find inner peace and settle a busy mind is a morning walk to Little Adams Peak. This is a small mountain about 3km from Ella Town and it is easily accessible for visitors. The trail is well marked and can be done with all fitness levels. Mornings and late afternoons are the best times to do the hike as the lightning is perfect and it is not too hot. So, the other day I got up very early start my hike to Little Adams Peak. I felt so grounded just being with myself and soaking in the beautiful morning atmosphere. Birds were singing and the horizon was glimmering in a warm golden light. The sun was just about to rise and start a wonderful new day.
The other good thing about early mornings is that no one else was there to interrupt my silence. Just myself and the most beautiful nature. The trail passes through several tea estates, providing a closer look at Sri Lanka's famous tea culture. Sometimes monkeys keep you company, but not in a harmful way. They are very curious and it is a special moment to interact with them in nature. Finally, I made it to the top and once again I was overwhelmed by the wideness of nature and the flourishing green landscapes. From here you can also see Ella Rock and Ella Gap. Finishing my tour with a silent meditation I was very thankful for this perfect morning. Little Adams Peak is a perfect tour for everyone who seeks a tranquil place to settle the mind and I am sure nature-enthusiasts will also love it, just as I do.
